Juniper berries take up to three years to mature so I feel it is safe to say this offering has been a while in the making. These berries were gathered from beautiful wild Junipers that grow on the mountain behind our home and were gathered during the hour of the moon on the full moon. Juniper berries have long been used ritually to cleanse, detox and protect both people and spaces, and are a well known skin tonic too, which is why I brought the ceremonial and skinfood worlds together with this winter, earth themed, mountain inspired offering. I'm very happy to finally be able to share this with you, Juniper is an ally that I have worked with extensively in recent years but given the time it takes for its berries to ripen, it demands alot more time than most other green family do...which is a good thing in itself!
 
Each bottle contains a natural black garnet that I gathered by hand in the glacial meltwaters of the high Alps. These were added to ground and enhance the energetic and medicinal properties of the plant ingredients, and to support the natural functions of the energetic centers of the body.
 
Please note that this is cold processed liquid bathing soap, made from pure plant extractions and hydrosols. We do not use essential oils or fragrances in any of our products.
 
Each comes to you in a beautiful large recycled apothecary glass bottle (each 100ml), encrusted with a highly textured natural structural paste that I created from hand gathered wild clays, fine crystal powders, and minerals. Each is adorned with a mini posey of wild lunar botanicals, and a hand written plant fiber paper label embossed with our Celtic Wheel of the Year mandala art. These are lovingly held in place with a beautiful plant fiber cordage made from mugwort and rose. Each bottle is ritually sealed with local beeswax.

This seasonal shop opening coincides with the Celtic Festival of Samhain and takes place within the liminal space between the last new moon of the Celtic year in October, astronomical Samhain, and the first new moon of the Celtic New Year in November. It is during this time that the death of the old (year) and the birth of the new (year) occurs. With this we enter the dreamtime cycle of moons; a time honouring the birth that takes place during and after the darkest times. It is a potent time of observing blood, bones, ancestors, (re)connection, introspection, and 'getting to know the lay of the land'...within. Many refer to this time as a 'thinning of the veils', however those of us whose ears are finely tuned, we know that the 'veil' is always thin.
