Bridging the Winter/Earth element and the Spring/Air element ~ these devotional sacred space ritual brushes combine the most beautiful shimmery pink wild earth and white gold plant fibers. This is a marriage between Earth and Air, Below and Above.
 
These are lovingly handsculpted from wild pink kaolin clay that I hand gathered in the Balkans. After a year of processing and curing the clay, this wild earth gorgeousness was shaped by hand into what you see here, and fired in the kiln. The plant fibers I worked with for this ritual tool is Portugese grown Agave. This unique altar brush is one of a kind. It is accented with wild Rose and Mugwort plant fiber cordage, and two matt natural stone beads. The two you see here are good represents of the one you will receive.
 
I do make my own wild glazes but the beauty of this rare pink clay needs to be experienced in its natural state and have the surface remain raw to the touch. These natural organic curves and surfaces have been smoothened by my fingertips only and I purposefully wanted the clay to speak for itself by shaping itself in the way it wished to be.

The brushes made for this season's collection sold out immediately, so I am offering these on pre-order so that those of you who would like me to make one for you can do so. I only have a small amount of this clay left, so once these pre-order places have been taken, that's it I'm afraid! Due to the uniqueness of the clay, and it being handsculpted freehand, each brush is absolutely unique in colour, shape and texture. Note that it will take one week for the clay to dry enough to fire. It takes a week to fire it in the kiln, and time also needs to be allowed for me to work the clay, deliver it/collect it from the kiln (a three hour round trip ), work the plant fibers, and assemble your brush. There are no shortcuts with this 3-4 week timeline and by placing a pre-order you are agreeing to this.
